You’ll be working alongside our experienced nursery team, supporting daily care routines and engaging with children aged 2-5 years old. Your day-to-day tasks will include helping with meal times and snack preparation, assisting with nappy changes and personal hygiene, supervising play and learning activities, tidying and organising the nursery environment, and supporting transition times like arrival and departure. You’ll work as part of a small, friendly team in our bright, welcoming nursery setting on William Street.
During this placement, you’ll develop practical childcare skills, gain confidence working with young children, and learn how to plan and deliver age-appropriate activities. You’ll understand child safeguarding responsibilities, observe professional communication between staff and parents, and see how nurseries manage behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
