About this apprenticeship
Key Responsibilities:
Operate CNC milling and turning machines under supervision
Assist with setup, tooling, and material preparation
Interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Produce precision components to tight tolerances
Use measuring equipment including micrometers and gauges
Support inspection and quality control processes
Learn CNC programming fundamentals (G-code)
Maintain a safe and organised working environment
Follow all health & safety procedures
Complete apprenticeship coursework with SIGTA
Apprenticeship Training (SIGTA):
Workplace learning combined with off-the-job training
Day or block release at SIGTA training centre
Qualification: Level 3 Engineering Technician/Machining Technician
Training includes machining, materials, CNC programming, drawings, quality and safety
Training
Machining Technician Level 3.
